2017 Minnesota State Steel-Tip Darts Championship

Get ready!  On Saturday, February 25, 2017, Biff’s Sports Bar & Grill will host this year’s State Championships, with the first event beginning at 9:00 AM that Saturday morning.  All eligible members of the Twin City Darts Association (TCDA) are welcome, and non-members will have the option to purchase one-day memberships or full memberships on site as well.

Think you have what it takes?  Last year we had nearly 100 of you at the event, saw some fabulous darts, and we’ll be expecting more of the same in 2017.  “The quality of play at the State Tournament last year was fantastic, with 16 ton-eighties recorded,” said TCDA Tournament Director Holger Stilgenbauer.  “Let’s get over twenty ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTYYYY’s this year!”

The likes of Ryan Gervais, Eric Gerth, Abby Spott, Natalie Fletcher, Rick Anderson, Jake Schreiber, Tylor Pinks, and James Henninger all took home first place trophies last year.  Can they defend their titles this year, or will someone else dethrone them?

“Our State Tournament is the longest running and one of the most prestigious dart trophies you can win in the state,” added TCDA President Mike Anderson.  “Winning this is a big deal, and it’s always exciting to see who will add their name to the long list of distinguished winners.  But it’s not just about the winners.  The competition and the camaraderie amongst our league that we see at these tournaments makes all of us winners.  Holger and his committee do a great job making this event all about the players, so it’s efficient and well-run, so I certainly hope everyone makes it and enjoys the event.”

For those that have not been to Biff’s Sports Bar & Grill before, the address is 7777 Highway 65 NE, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432.  Registration for each event will close 15 minutes prior to the event start time.  Events and their start times are listed below:

Each event will cost $15 per person (in addition to any TCDA membership fees required to participate as a member in good standing), and all events are double elimination.
